Y capacitor appearance is mostly orange or blue, generally marked with safety certification marks (such as UL, CSA, etc.) and withstand voltage AC250V or AC275V words. However, its true DC withstand voltage is as high as 5000V. It must be emphasized that Y capacitors should not be substituted by ordinary capacitors such as nominal withstand voltage AC250V or DC400V. 2. the X capacitor as one of the safety capacitors also requires the certification of the safety inspection organization. X capacitor is usually marked with safety certification mark and withstand voltage AC250V or AC275V, but its true DC withstand voltage up to 2000V or more, do not use the nominal withstand voltage AC250V or DC400V or other ordinary capacitor to replace it.
